But despite all these mighty/unstable weapons, their primary advantage is always numbers. They also have Screaming Bells, Plague Throwers, I think Plague Cauldrons, Ratling Guns, and even weirder stuff like Doom Wheels and Doom Flayers. Like how Clan Moulder makes Rat Ogres and I believe Hellpit Abominations. Also, I think Clan Skryre is the only ones that make those. Both of which are highly destructive but incredibly unstable. Originalmente postado por ArchaicReaper:The cannon is the Warp Lightning Cannon, and the flamethrower is the Warp Fire Thrower. Well to put it simply a Karak is a castle which has a castle insided it and it goes on with many layers of defences,in most cases you are right the first defence is a huge gate which guards the entrance which is usually very narrow (see Karak Kazdrin),afterwards you usually find before you a second powerfull layer of defence, from then on the figh is made in tunnels and usually small areas,to protect the underground sections of the city the dwarfs usually post patrols of ironbreakers that patrol the tunnels and extarminate any scaven or goblin they find,if the situation is desparate they call some irondrakes to unlish their weapons in the narrow tunnels which will surely destroy all invaders and make the tunnel unaccesible for some time. But when they do attack a city, they come up from the sewers and overwhelm the defenses from within in vast numbers. But if it's a large network of connected tunnels then it could be a bunch of skirmishes in the various tunnels.Īs for Skaven, they suffer a great deal of infighting and espionage.
Fighting underground would be interesting, the whole thing would basically be a choke point. Originalmente postado por ArchaicReaper:From what I've heard, Karaks have giant gates that essentially work like a siege themselves before you even get to the city beneath the mountain. I'd like to see that in addition to towns and everything else. Similar to Empire or Medieval 2 Kingdoms we had random keeps placed around strategic locations. I'd also like to see the feature of building forts or keeps. I hope we get some real meaty fortresses. I'm so happy for the return of medieval style cities and castles. But it did look awsome to see so many orcs and Empire troops outside a very large medieval looking city. The announcement trailer showed an Empire city I think, and probably Altdorf since it looks like theres only a single wall for defence. I think I'm comfortable with how the Empire looks but if someone has more to add I'd be happy to find out more. That's pretty much all I know or was curious about. I've seen some of they're armies but how do they get from underground to siege somewhere or are they just supposed to pop out from inside the walls in droves?
So do you think we'll be fighting underground? With several levels to go through, several layers that may require specific siege equipment? What about blowing things up with sappers? I don't know just a thought.īut there's also the Skaven who apparently have huge underground networks that span the whole of the map? Under each city and town there's a skaven den and they're all connected. And there is a screenshot and a new teaser for the dwarves. For example apparently the Dwarves live in Karaks which are heavily fortified at the front where the enterance to the mountain is on top level. I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas about what they might look like and such. I've read a few stories and see pictures of concept art or constructed models. I think I have a fairly general idea what to expect in terms of the different race's strongholds and towns.

Plus a lot of people know already what to expect when they enter one of these places such as Altdorf and Middenheim etc. I was thinking that with a game like this with as many factions and races we'll see much more variety. Usually in the Total War games you get some unique built castles and towns or such and the rest are all fairly generic. One of the things I'm excited to find out about are the Castles, Cities and Sieges.
